The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) will contribute to the SEMASC Project, by assisting with the data collection in Chile. Moreover, this initiative is in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, as the results can contribute to the sustainability of sports organisations. From an academic point of view, the project will make it possible to diagnose the actions related to the development of sports organisations on the basis of international comparison. This will make it possible to determine the gaps or needs of each national context through a diagnosis and comparison that will deepen the knowledge of the sports systems of an important group of countries. Furthermore, the information provided will allow a deeper debate and reflection on this complex relationship between sport management and the cultural, political and economic aspects of the different nations.
