University of Lisbon

The Faculty of Human Kinetics (FMH) is part of the University of Lisbon (ULISBOA) and is the oldest School of Sports Science and Physical Education in Portugal. FMH covers a wide range of study areas of interest to various sectors of society, with 5 Undergraduate Courses (Sport Sciences/Coaching or Sport Sciences/Exercise and Health, Sport Management, Dance, Ergonomics, Rehabilitation), 8 Master’s Courses, several Post-Graduation and 2 Doctoral degrees (Human Kinetics & Education Sciences). FMH is involved in the higher education and scientific communities and various social sectors by keeping fruitful relationships with the educational, sports, production, artistic and health systems. This is well expressed in the diversity and quality of the partnerships and relationships already established. One of the main missions of FMH is to contribute to a healthier and more active Portuguese population by focusing on the promotion of a physically active lifestyle and health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) for children, youth and adults.
