Mykolas Romeris University
In the academic field, the Faculty of Public Governance and Business of the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) runs the unique master degree programme in sports business management in the country and Baltic States region. Teaching staff of the programme are high-level academics and experts in the field of sport organisation management, marketing and communications, sport law and integrity. Partnerships with national sport federations, municipality sport divisions, national athletes’ associations create a wide range of networks that provide great opportunities to realise projects, organise events, etc. MRU each year implements a significant amount of international and national study and research projects (around 80 projects per year on average) through its network of Social Innovations Laboratories. It operates as competitive, high knowledge and innovation-based study-business partnership and ecosystem management.
MRU will co-lead the WP5 Dissemination and be in charge of communication of activities together with LUNEX and NSA.
National Sports Agency
National Sports Agency (NSA) is a public institution created on July 1, 2022 under the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania. The main role of the agency is the implementation of the state sports policy in the fields of high-performance sports and public physical activity. There are five departments in charge of: high-level sport, physical activity, infrastructure, competencies and general affairs. The agency also concentrates the entire country's sports financing functions, equal attention is paid to Olympic, non-Olympic and Paralympic sports, and athletes rights. NSA takes care of the public investments in sports infrastructure. NSA also helps the country's sports federations and organisations to implement and strengthen the principles of good governance. The organisation is new, but it is staffed by people selected through a competitive process. Currently NSA employs 25 staff members (out of 34 foreseen). NSA, as a full partner of the SEMASC project, will take part in the data collection in Lithuania as well as the promotion of training materials to sport federations and clubs. The SEMASC project will be the first European project the NSA will take part in.
NSA will co-lead the WP5 Dissemination.
